Washington Monument

It seems like we've all heard of it but we haven't heard about it!!! What is the Washington Monument anyways?
The Washington Monument is an obelisk that sits near the National Mall. It is the tallest standing stone obelisk in the world. It was initially built to commemorate the first president, General George Washington.
If you look at the Washington skyline, it is also the tallest structure.
